When I started at the academy, I had not even the slightest idea of anything to do with music. But even on my first day, I was able to understand so much in just an hour!
Now it's been over one and a half years and throughout that time, I have learned so much about the keyboard and the theory of music. Learning about music has made me fall in love with the keyboard, and the teachers make it so much fun because they are so knowledgeable, and so patient when it comes to teaching us.
Studying at the academy has quickly made playing the keyboard one of my favourite hobbies, and it's enabled me to play some of my favourite songs on the keyboard. I look forward to every class and practice as much as I can.
All in all, I love studying here, and I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to learn the wonders of music!

I thoroughly enjoy going to 3Bs Music (now YAM) They have a very welcoming atmosphere, and there are an obvious passion and love for music. The teachers are very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with us students.
With the guidance of my teachers, playing the violin has become a fun hobby for me. I would highly recommend Yamani Academy of Music to all who wants to pick up a musical instrument!

My son has been learning guitar for a couple of years now, and I can vouch for the teachers, the institute and the teaching methodology without any reservations. When he started, it was not even clear which instrument he would take up - guitar, piano or something else... But slowly he gravitated to the guitar and has not looked back since then. He did not have any musical training at home or before joining the class and now he is able to play songs and read music effortlessly.
There is no pressure on the child, but a gentle and beautiful way they teach the instrument with a solid balance of theory. While it may seem that my son was "only" learning theory, this was an amazing foundation that they put together and the speed and focus that he has now when he actually plays the guitar is wonderful to see and enjoy. Most people don't realize that a balance of theory and practise is needed and with carefully crafted test and exams to push the student along, challenge them and bring out the best in them, the teachers and the institute have done a great job in teaching my son to play the guitar.
In very simple words, signing my son to Yamani Academy of Music was one of the best decisions I have taken and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I am Ishana.S, and I am a 20-year-old student. I love Ms Ahlauyu's Musica Maths classes. They are innovative and combine both theory and practical music sessions in optimal amounts. I'm Kashvi Thangaraj and I've been doing my Grade 8 piano under the guidance of Madam Ahlauyu. Some of you may know her as my aunt but more than that, she is a better teacher to me like my grandfather was to her. She is the perfect teacher when it comes to music. My preparation for Grade 8 has been very interesting and challenging. Other than just teaching music blindly, the pieces are well analyzed and the details are looked into. Also, the sense of music is learnt more than the actual performance. Coming from a family of musicians starting from my Grandfather to both my aunts and my mom, I am very proud to carry forward the legacy. Ahlauyu has been a very good guardian towards my musical growth and is very strict about being a teacher. I am looking forward to her guidance towards my musical journey!
